Eiffel Tower Paris – The Symbol of Love

Eiffel Tower Paris – The Symbol of Love

The Eiffel Tower is an iron tower masterpiece located in Paris. It is located on the on the Champ de Mars in the city. It was named after its constructor, the engineer Gustave Eiffel, who built this extraordinary tower. It came into existence in 1889 as the entrance arch for the World Fair of 1889. Since then it has become both an image of the brain of France and one of the most recognized constructions in the world. It is the tallest structure of Paris and the hotspot of tourists as it is the most visited monument in the world for which a fee is charged making it a paid monument. About 6.98 million people (according to a survey) visited it in 2011. The two hundred fifty millionth visitor came in 2010 to visit it.

It is thee hundred twenty four metres (about one thousand sixty three feet) tall, which would take it to the same height of about an eighty one storey building. When it was being constructed, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument (the tallest building then) to be truly called as the tallest man made structure in the world. It remained the tallest building of the world until after 41 years the Chrysler Building was built in New York in 1930. It is the still the second tallest monument in France, after the Millau Viaduct.

It is truly a treat for the eyes to watch it when it is lit up at the night. For 5 minutes nightly, all the flashing lights on the tower are turned on, and it is a spectacular sight! It is wonderful, extremely wonderful. However, if you would like to examine the breath taking views that you simply would see if you queued for hours and went up the tower, take a visit up the Montparnasse Tower, an enormous edifice that appears like an office building, wherever on the highest floor there’s a public viewing space with a beautiful cafe! Same views that you’d get on top of the tower however hardly any queues! Both are worth a visit, however ultimately , try to see the tower in the dark (especially once it’s flashing!). It offers you goosebumps as a result of it’s a tremendous site.

The tower is close to give its guests with a step into dizzying suspension.  Not after very long guests to the primary level can look straight down the tower through a plate of glass rather than searching through the fence.  The thought of the creator, is to relinquish the impression of floating on top of Paris! Certainly a marvelous idea.

In its third major renovation since 1889, a little of the Alexandre Gustave Eiffel Tower’s solid flooring are going to be reworked into a one.  Associate degree inclined glass barrier is meant to exchange this grilled fencing. The present buildings from the Eighties with their reflected windows can settle to clear, windowed buildings to provide the traveler the sense of openness into the encompassing house. The lateral walls framing the glass façades are going to be painted within the original brown-red color of the Eiffel Tower.

This 1st level is that the most versatile level of the tower. It homes the fifty eight Tour technologist edifice, a straightforward edifice, exhibitions, typically the rink (the 1st one was put in in 1969). In 2010 the primary level’s open space was reworked into a park with simulated grass, wild flowers, wood lounge chairs and restaurant chairs and tables. It receives, however, solely  half  the tower’s guests. The owner of the Eiffel Tower, town of Paris, proclaimed that the renovations can embrace  stores, a café and depository area. The edifice fifty eight Tour technologist façade can receive a face raise changing into as clear because the different buildings.  The price of the work is calculable at twenty five million euros. The primary level can stay open throughout the work and price ticket costs can stay unchanged.

The Tower’s beauty program involves sixty a lot of paint, that should be applied a minimum of each seven years to guard her from rust. Every paint job takes fifteen to eighteen months.  It is said that the tower would stand as long as it is protected from rust and for that meticulous painters are the only option that is let to them.Through the years the colours have varied from red to a bright yellow, and from chocolate to her current a special grayish-brown hue. To emphasize her fabulous silhouette as seen from the bottom, there are literally 3 completely different reminder the hue that amendment from dark to lightweight, the upper up you go.Painters should follow ancient strategies, that haven’t modified since her since the primitive days. Paint should be applied with the hands manually, with the help of brushes and rollers. Leave the paint guns reception. Lastly, work might not begin till every morning’s condensate has vaporized.

It is also a lovers’ attraction. The evening view of the Eiffel tower  encompasses a very large amount of love birds which are making love underneath. The view it casts is just awesome and it is a must visit for every person. It can be truly called as the paradise on earth.

The Beautifully Carved Grand Canyon, Arizona

The Beautifully Carved Grand Canyon, Arizona

The Grand Canyon is among the most popular amazing structures across the world. The state of Arizona is blessed to have this structure which is sliced by the Colorado River. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles i.e. 446 km long steep-sided canyon and is almost a mile deep. The canyon comes within the Grand Canyon National Park and was managed by the Hualapai Tribal Nation and the Havasupai Tribe. The famous three Indian reservations named the Hualapai, the Havasupai and the Navajo are today a part of the Grand Canyon National Park.

Even the President Theodore Roosevelt likes to visit the canyon particularly on occasions to enjoy the beautiful scenery the place offers. He was also a supporter of protection of the Grand Canyon Area. Many researches were done in that area and according to some of the previous researches the age of the Grand Canyon should be 5-6 million but later it was estimated that the river established its progression by the canyon 17 million years ago. But still this finding is debatable. Thus, nothing can be said about the years of existence of that place. It is also said that the Native Americans inhabited the place thousands years ago and after building settlements within the canyon, they are living there in their caves. Some people called the pueblo people consider the Grand Canyon a holy place and they even made tours to it. A man from Spain named Garcia Lopez was the first person who visited the Grand Canyon in 1540.

The U.S. government in the early 1800s spent a lot in the maintenance of the Grand Canyon. They began to explore and map the Southwest area which includes the Grand Canyon. In 1893, the Grand Canyon was titled as a Forest Reserve and later the government made it a National Monument. Until 1919 the Grand Canyon did not receive the title of a National Park. But today it is widely famous and occupies a land of 1 million acres. The number of visitors is close to 5 million each year.

canyon rocks

The Grand Canyon is not the deepest and even not the widest canyon in the world. The deepest canyon in the world is in Nepal and is named as the Kali Gandaki Gorge. And the widest in the world is the Capertee Valley in Australia. However, this big fissure is popular for its elaborate and colorful landscape and its visually awesome size in the Colorado Plateau. The place is significantly known for the beauty of the rocks in the walls of the Grand Canyon. The walls of the Grand Canyon are made of quite thick arrangement of some ancient rocks which are beautifully visible and preserved.

canyon weather

The thing that we must know about the Grand Canyon is the variation of its weather. The weather at the Grand Canyon fluctuates according to elevation. The forested borders of that area receive winter snowfall but when we talk about the area in the Inner Gorge along the Colorado River the temperatures is normal and is quite similar to that found around Tucson. Annually the extensive precipitation occurs twice especially in winter when there is a shift in the seasonal pattern but normally the weather is dry. In summer the weather is quite opposite. Some moisture will be seen in the southeast causing localized and melodramatic thunderstorms. On an average the content of precipitation will be around 16 inches on the South Edges and will be higher on the North Edges( mainly around 27 inches with 144 inches of snowfall).

The air at the Grand Canyon is found to be the cleanest air in the United States. The quality of air is sometimes get affected by some actions such as dust storms and forest fires which generally occurs in the Southwest area. There are considerable effects on the quality of air and that are mostly from the organics and the sulfates in the soils. The main origin of these sulfates is the continuous emissions from Arizona’s copper smelter area. In south California the urban emissions also add to the content of the sulfates. Forest fires, vehicle emissions, VOCs from the surrounding forests and long range transport from urban regions are the main cause of creation of Organic particles. Road dust and windy conditions create airborne soils. Many other things also affect the air of the Grand Canyon these things include the black carbon content resulting from forest fires and the nitrates being carried from the urban regions.

Now, if we talk about the greenery of the Grand Canyon then there is much more to talk about. There are about 1,737 vascular plants, 64 species of moss, 167 species of fungi and even 195 species of lichen in the Grand Canyon National Park. This variety of species found at the Grand Canyon is all because of the elevation change of about 8,000 foot of the Colorado River. This elevation change is upto the peak point on the North Edge. The park owns a dozen of endemxtU_lants within its boundaries. A little of 10% flora of the park is exotic. Even the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service gave sixty-three pants of the Grand Canyon special status.

The Grand Canyon is among the Seven Wonder in the World. And it deserves to be the one because the place is naturally so beautiful and it can be seen in the pictures also. Thus, it will be a breathtaking experience to watch this place and trust me you will never forget the view of its landscape.

Walk Down the Tunnel of Love, Ukraine

Walk Down the Tunnel of Love, Ukraine

“And the big wheel keep on turning neon burning up above And I’m just high on the world Come on and take a low ride with me girl On the tunnel of love!” Our world is an enigma. Nature has its own arsenal of paints and brushes that it has generally used in indulging our world with charm, romance and quiet mystique.  There are imposing structures and gorgeous views. And there are breathtaking sculptures. And then there are some places are so beautiful and peaceful that they nearly scream out ‘Love is in the air’. About 25 kilometers North West of the Ukrainian town called Rvine lies a quaint little village. Its name is Klevan. The village of Klevan is endowed with nature’s mastery and the locals enjoy the picturesque scenes surrounding their home. Between the two World Wars it was a part of Poland. Close to this beautiful village lies one of the most romantic spots on earth- the Tunnel of Love. Legend has it that if you walk down the tunnel hand in hand with your true love and make a wish, your wish will come true and the two of you will be bound eternally with the strongest of bonds.

The Tunnel of Love is actually a hardly used industrial rail track. Trees have been cleared out from the forest and a rail track has been laid. A train runs on this 3 km log track three times a day, carrying wood to a nearby fibre board factory. Green trees have grown in a peculiar fashion all around the track and have entwined together to form a leafy shade over the ‘tunnel’. The picturesque tunnel is a beautiful example of the stunning visual ecstasy that can be created with nature’s beauty taking over a manmade canvas. The trees take on different hues with the change of seasons. In the summer, the rich green leaves are all gentle. The bright sunrays playing peekaboo through the leaves overhead are perhaps nature’s own way of expressing the warm caress of bright young love.

And in autumn, the tunnel looks forlorn, as if in wait for a lover who has set out on adventures to take on the world. And then comes winter. The leaves are frosted; icicles sparkle like shards of diamond. The tunnel of love waits for the reunion of lovers. tunnelof love download

Then shines the sun, the ice is thawed, the birds sing. New leaves grow on the young branches of trees as spring comes singing its own love song. And it is nearly as if nature is celebrating the reunion of the proverbial lovers, with bright flowers and butterflies and a fragrant spirit in the air.

How to find the Tunnel of Love

Type in the following coordinates into Google Maps 50.750726, 26.045555. However use Bing if you are looking for satellite images. This is a comparatively lesser known place and is hardly explored. The tracks originate from the Klevan railway station, which is also not without its own quaint appeal.

However with the promise of eternal love with one walk down the Tunnel of Love, it is gaining popularity as a tourist destination in the recent years. Since the tracks are hardly used, the stunning green backdrop acts as a lovers’ walkway. Local romances bloom around the tunnel of love, and the rail track stands witness to whispered promises, sweet nothings and the tremble of young hearts. In the recent years, the Tunnel of Love has gained favor among professional photographers and is increasingly being used by newlyweds as a backdrop for wedding photo shoots. Indeed, what can be more romantic than getting to pronounce your views in one of the most romantic places on earth? The song goes- “She took off a silver locket she said remember me by this She put her hand in my pocket I got a keepsake and a kiss And in the roar of dust and diesel I stood and watched her walk away I could have caught up with her easy enough but something must have made me stay.” One of the most romantic places on the face of earth, the Tunnel of Love has borne witness to the fact that many a lover come and many a lover go, but love stays on, stronger than ever. It is indeed strange how a multi-tonne freight track has been transformed into one of the places which celebrate the spirit of love. Our world indeed is a strange place and there is nothing that a little harmony between nature’s whims and man’s industry cannot achieve. Thus, if you are one of those who are constantly bugged by the wander lust, add this place to your must-visit list. The promise of true love, and the breathtaking beauty of the 3 km long tunnel will be worth it.
